Marilyn Webster and her dog Asha take a springtime walk in the woods.

More than a dog walk

I walk in the woods with my dog Asha, and I write about our walks.
» connecting with the land and other living beings, noticing beauty in so many forms, following curiosity and delighting in wonder «

Writing Stories and Field Notes on this storysite is more than writing about walking wooded trails and paths (at least for me). It’s also about walking an inner path, unhurried, with tenderness.
» listening to my inner wisdom, befriending uncertainty, stepping into enoughness and navigating change «

These paths, external and internal, bring me home to myself.
» deepening, through the seasons, and through sometimes difficult, sometimes gorgeous ways, coming home – again and again «

My hope is that as you read, you will find companionship walking with Asha and me.

And that you too will find your path to a warm and beautiful homecoming.

FIELD NOTES
short observations and reflections, and an occasional poem

I savor your emails because they’re an invitation for me to open up, or reflect or pause. And that’s something that I’m looking for – opportunities to go a little deeper into myself and my experience, to notice more.
