The story behind the blog

A happy puppy, Asha trots beside Marilyn Webster, her human walking companion.

Dog + Woods = Blog + Podcast

After Asha and I started walking in the woods, stories about our walks wiggled their way into the blog posts I wrote for Whimsy & Tea, my weaving business. I love writing about Asha, and the stories brought moments of insight and delight to those who read and wrote comments.

I also shared Asha stories with a women’s coaching group. They loved listening and encouraged me to embrace myself as a storyteller and tell my stories with a wider audience, in both written and spoken form.

I’ve gifted myself the following permissions with this storysite:

  1. Show up here with my stories and let this site evolve.
  2. Write what wants to be written whether or not it’s about a walk with Asha.
  3. Publish when I have stories that want to be shared. It could be several times in one month or once every few months or something in between.

I feel like I’m answering a call – a call to walk in the woods and a call to write.

Your voice helps me settle into storytime, which is one of the most loving, safe and calm places for me to be.
